Hi All,
Well there goes another year from hell, lets hope next year lasts a bit longer and has a brighter outlook. The year gone has seen many turmoils and headaches.
From floods, loss of sight, and the struggles involved with my health make the hope for next year to be better, mainly because it cant get much worse, or can it?
My cars are progressing slowly again at last, even though mine is not finished, i am building another for a friend in NT, its a Te with full XR8 running gear, 9" diff and huge front brakes, i will post pics through the build. Lets hope he agrees to be the new admin for the NT, although he is hopeless on the computer. lol
With the 1uzfe , just finishing off the fuel injection system plumbing to the throttle bodies. Then put the font of the motor back together including the electric water pump and plumbing to the radiator. Full rewire and connect up all linkages and were ready for some skids. Hopefully by March.
The website was recently hit by computer and professional spammers, we can no longer rely on the number of total members as approx 10,000 of them are spammers.
We currently have the site on restricted membership via email verification, this stops most of them and there posted rubbish. The new site is in development as we speak, first impressions looks good, still final testing in progress. By the end of the holiday period we should be ready for the release.
New promo gear is in the pipeline and will be online approx march/april.
Cortina Nationals 2012, the first Ford Cortina designated event held in Australia, located an Albury, Vic its an event not to be missed. Bookings are essential and cheaper in advance. Time is counting down with a lot to do before the years end.
Wish you all well, merry x-mas and a happy new years to all Cortina fans.

Hi to all our members and visitors.
Much apologies to all for my late Christmas message, but circumstances here in Qld were chaos over the holiday period , combined with our storms, flooding and natural disasters that my own interests were focused elsewhere.
Several days after the flood, i had a vitreous bleed in the back of my eyes and was declared legally blind and had to learn how to use a white cane. This was going to make driving the cortina slightly harder now.
But alas i haven't given up and now more determined than ever to accomplish the end result. I fumble, feel and persist in efforts which are so simple when you can see what you are doing, this impairment has not slowed or restricted my efforts, with time i still accomplish the tasks i set for myself, it just takes longer.

So yet another year comes to a close and i banter on about how good life is and all the achievements throughout the year.
Well not this year, there has been no achievements only setbacks, from becoming single....... again to being unemployed......again, then struck with major health issues. I really pissed off the old man up above to deserve such a trashing and turn around of events in less than 12 months.
Due now to my health issues, i have renal kidney failure, the outlook to finish the 1UZFE Cortina project seems like only a dream, cash just for medical expenses is hard to come up with on the dole and the thought of spending even little bits on the corty is not practical.
Alas, i might have to take a back seat in the website even, while i sort through the bills, appointments, treatments and just the pifalls now involved in day to day living.
Christmas eve, as i lay in a hospital bed, no santa for me tomorrow.
Hopefully all you CORTINA lovers have a better time and had a better year than i did, I'd like to say don't loose track of your goals and follow your destiny and only wish i could listen to my own words.

Ok, its that time of the year again, where i dribble on about how good life is and all that sorta crap.
Ummm, where my jimmy can, back shortly.
Ok, So x-mas has been and gone, new years now next year and the summernats were almost 1200 entrants down from 2008.
This i assume is due to our economic downturn and most people including myself are finding the spare cash to spend on projects not as easy to come by as it used too.
Anyway i still had a great time at the nats catching up with our admins from WA and Vic, seen some nice cars and drunk copious amounts of .....water...yeah right.
So i'm all gee'd up to finish the corty and have it cruising around at the nats next year. Hope to see a few other members there and i always talk to anyone that wants to chat or just say g-day.
Welcome to all our new members we currently have 1977 registered, and several who get caught in the registration process due to incorrect email addresses or from blocked or banned ip addresses.
This site relies on several admins and many members to operate and keep the interest or dreams alive for others to enjoy, even at the youngest age through to the elderly and those who are now only a memory.
Myself and the state admins would personally like to say a BIG THANKS....

Merry X-mas and a safe happy New Year to all.
Well another year is soon to close, several feats and expectations have been accomplished while others still remain a dream.
This x-mas day will be our 2nd birthday, sorry for starting the celebrations early, but i was running out of room in the fridge. Our membership has grown from 150+ in the first year to over 1000 people, mostly spammers who get caught in the registration system and need to be trimmed from the official count somehow, but 1000 is impressive none the less.

Hey Everyone.
The Calendar has now been modified to accept many various event types suitable for car clubs and personal events.
The States have also been changed to our Australian states rather than the many USA states as it was set at.
So post as many events/outings as you like and remember that every member also has their own personal calendar to use and remind them of upcoming dates.
All events etc posted to the master calendar, still require approval from the admin section, but this is usually done within 24hrs.
The events registration is also working, (i hope, hasnt been tested yet) this makes it easier to guess-timate how many participants are likely to show for your subscribed calendar submissions.
